Hello: I am Lyle Caldwell. I was born and raised in the small town of Iola, Kansas. As a youngster I mostly fished farm ponds and creeks. I was introduced to Bass fishing in my early teens. I was amazed that I could fool a fish into biting an artificial bait. Well, I was hooked. Been a Bass fisherman ever since.
After serving in the Air Force I returned to Kansas where I joined Jawhawk Bassmasters. I fished club tournaments and started fishing other tournaments in the Midwest. That is when I learned to love the lakes in southwest Missouri.
In 1979 I moved to Springfield, Mo where I worked for Zenith. I continued fishing local tournaments on the lakes in southwest, Mo. While in Springfield I got my Coast Guard License and started guiding part time. In 1991 my job was moved to Mexico so I relocated to the Branson area. I then started my full time guide service. I no longer fish tournaments, but concentrate on being the best guide I can be. I am on the lake approximately 300 days a year keeping in contact with the fish. I feel I learn something everyday I am on the water, which helps my clients catch fish. I enjoy fishing with all ages and skill levels. You don't have to be a pro to catch fish. I would love the opportunity to fish with you. We will have a great time.
